Melissa Cartwright is an artist and shoe designer. While living in Montreal she worked on costume teams in Montreal including
L’Opera de Montreal, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and Centaur Theater. Miss Cartwright studied historical costume at Dalhousie University then continued her studies at NSCAD University where she completed her B.F.A with a focus in Textiles.

In 2003 Melissa attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she studied shoe construction, which lead to the creation of her own line of re-worked footwear-Punch Shoes. Keeping in line with her love of quirky shoes Melissa develops the women’s line for John Fluevog Shoes in Vancouver.
